Evolution VS Creationism

Bill Maher, Christopher Hitchens, Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, and several others has joined this "debate". The debate being, "Should we teach 'creation science' in public schools?". Youtube is full of meaningless debates, between people who have strong opinions about the topic to begin with. Their minds typically will not be changed.

Basically, if you are not familiar with this topic, the creationist say that an intelligent mind (God) created the universe and humanity. While evolution is apart of the scientific method. Bodies of evidence pointing to the principle, that yes, organisms adapt and evolve through time.

This is basically my only two cents I will throw into this.

The creation argument is opposed to two different portions of science. They do not believe in the Big Bang, nor the Theory Of Evolution. The basic argument is that evolution is just a theory. But that is an argument from ignorance, so I will skip that one. The main point that they have is "that there is not any evidence of evolution". So what does that mean? They believe in a government conspiracy, to the affect that, they don't want you to believe in God. Now that may sound out there. But if you look at the arguments, the main point is that they think that it should not be taught in schools. Something that is accepted amongst all biologists, shouldn't be taught in biology.

So my point in bringing this up is, that if you want your kids to not learn evolution. HOME SCHOOL THEM!!! You have the right to do that. But you do not have the right to break the law, and the constitution. Which , if you believe, that in a public school, GOD should be taught. You are violating the separation of church and state.

So grow up, quit whining, study the constitution of the US, and learn what evolution REALLY is. Rather than disregard it, because Adam and Eve aren't in the equation.

Social Suicide and Character Assassination

What makes you think you are so much better
than your fellow man? John F Kennedy said
"Our most basic common link, is that we all
inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the
same air. We all cherish our children's futures,
and we are all mortal. " This truth is what
shapes the good in men. So when we hate our
brothers, that just reflects an inter pain
that is deeper than any character assassination
you can throw. And when you hate one another,
for whatever reason, you are committing social
suicide. Jesus is quoted as saying, "If you have
hatred towards someone, you have committed
murder in you heart." That pain is deeper than
any wound you can inflict.

Dead Like Me

Do any of us ever have an original thought?
I would think so. But many would challenge
any new, or progressive idea one may come up
with these days. With atheism as a prominent
force these days, people are only inetested with
the things that can be tested with the five senses.
Which, of course, is not a bad thing. But how
can a new idea thrive. My opinion is that it cannot.
At least, among the majority of the populous.
If it isn't mainstream knowledge or a part of the
mainstream media, a new idea will be typically
ridiculed. Making it difficult for people to be
anything but sheep, and subscribe to the
group think mentality.

With that out of the way, I would like to share my
opinions on life and what our purpose is.

Many say that our purpose is to serve God, and others
will say were are here only to procreate.

My view doesn't comply with any of the typical notions
of how and why we are here. I do not thrive on the how,
rather the why.

So here it goes. I believe that time is an illusion of perception,
and merely bound by the body perceiving it. We have all
heard the saying, "Time flies when your having fun.". Well
how would that be possible if we are truly bound by time.
It would have to be an illusion.

So then my mind is stuck with this notion. Does anything
really ever happen? This is the question that plagues my mind.
I dropped out of high school after tenth grade. And the memory
is just a blur. As if it were a dream. Like my early childhood.
Flashes here and there, but I am at this point in time now.
How did I get here? Only 13.7 billion years of this universe.
And here i am, 2008 A.D. I will look back on this in ten years
thinking, "Wow, I was so immature then."

Life is an instantaneous event. So people ask "Why are we here?",
and my question is "If I know I am going to die, does that mean
I am already dead?". I will be. Life is just a series of obstacles, and
then it's over.

And your looking for a point?

Don't Tell Me How To Live Your Life

You know, I walk around this planet, and all i see is
mediocrity at it's finest. Thriving on every corner.
Whoever has the biggest tits, or the best religion,
is considered ,somehow, a better person.

I will never understand why other human beings,
who are just human, think that they are the best.
And this is predominately found in major religions
and news outlets.

You may be asking yourself, "How does religion do this?",
but the question really is, "In what way does it not?".

Every religion thinks that they have the answer to all
the questions of: Life, Death, Science, and how the
culture should interact. When, in fact, it comes across as pure
arrogance. How do you know? Show me the evidence of how this is true.

Now, this is not an attack on any God or Gods. This is simply a
statement of truth. If you know what happens when you die,
or what made the universe, and life itself. You should at least
show me how it works, or how it is possible.

But Christians often say that, "If society ran by the Ten Commandments,
we wouldn't have the problems we do." And on the surface, this sounds
as if it could be true. I mean, a society without murder, covetousness,
theft, and lies would seem pretty great. But not even the people who say
this follow them most the time.

Let me explain. In the USA, where this statement seems to permeate,
the divorce rate is very high. Therefore, making it difficult for most
to honor their father and mother alike. Murder and homicide are a daily
event. We do not keep the Sabbath holy. Even if you serve God
on that day. The misuse of God's name is one of the most common
factors of the English vernacular.

But there are two, in my opinion, in the Nation Under God that
thrive constantly. "Do Not Worship Any Other Gods" and
"You shall not make for yourself an idol".

This, to me, is the celebrity factor. "What is Britney doing" or
"Paris has a new sex tape", is more important to most that anything.
We give these people ownership of not only our news, but our
culture at large. They tell us how to dress and how to act.
The entertainment channels surpass the ratings of
politics and Gods. We idolize them as if they are more than
human beings. Weather it be a good or bad aspect of their personality.
They are the modern Messiahs. They are our Gods in the USA.
And i would estimate 90 percent of Christians are aware of these
celebrities personal lives.

These two seemingly separate parts of our culture collide. In ways
that do not have positive influences. Physical bombings, or character
assassinations, they both have tear apart our society in their own fashion.

In conclusion, your life is yours and only yours. Do not expect others
to take what you say into consideration. Take yourself for example.
You may have read this article and thought "Wow, i agree", or
the opposite. It should not matter to either of us. This is my life
and my view. Accept the mediocrity if you like, but always consider
what you may be losing in acceptance of it.

Reality Or Illusion

how can you tell whats real and what's fake?
the atoms which make my body are empty space for christ's sake.
how much of this life can anyone take.
i fall through the cracks of a paradox
living in my little box
on this small edge of the milky way
forever forced, to live, and stay.
is there meaning? or is this a lie
who will know as time goes by,
but does it? really, time go by?
because it all moves in the blink of an eye.
trapped in days and hours
with every second becoming sour.
missing what you could have had and what is to come.
I see clearly, It is already done.

Barack Obama, Politics are Stupid

I received an email today from Barack Obama's campaign today.
It reads:

-------------------------------------------------------------

2 million people like you

Andrew --

John McCain and the
Republican National Committee
are trying to
convince you that you've been swept up
and tricked into wanting change.

They want you to believe that everything is just fine --
that we need to stay the course
someone who's voted with

George Bush
95%
of the time.

To sell this ridiculous idea, McCain and the
RNC are
using huge checks from
Washington lobbyists and special interest
PACs to run negative ads attacking
Barack Obama
and the millions of volunteers
and donors who have joined this campaign for change.

While supporters like you are out
knocking on doors, registering new
voters, and organizing in your local
communities, our opponents are not
even trying to match your efforts.
Instead, they're spending millions
to spread the smear that Barack is just a
"celebrity" and that our
grassroots movement is just a bunch of mindless fans.

So who is John McCain really attacking?
Real people like
Brandon, a carpenter from McCall, ID.
Stephanie, a registered nurse
from
Phoenix, AZ. And Pamela,
a retired teacher from
Franklin, WV.

These are actual people who have made
donations to our campaign this week.

Your donation will help this movement reach a goal that few believed
was possible -- 2,000,000 individual supporters owning a piece of this
campaign.

And if you make a donation right now, a previous donor -- a
real person like Brandon, Stephanie, or Pamela -- is standing by to
match your gift. They are prepared to give again if you take the next
step and make your first donation today.

You can even choose to exchange a personal note
with them about why you're
supporting this movement.

Double your impact by making a matched donation of $5 or more now.

Two million donors is an incredible number -- a number that was
previously unimaginable for presidential campaigns. And it's a number
this campaign never dreamed we could reach before the convention.

But because so many supporters have stepped up to own a piece
of this movement in the face of McCain's attacks, we are just days away
from making history.

And with only 85 days until the election, we can't afford to do any less.

Make a matching donation of $5 or more today and help reach this historic goal.

McCain is trying to undermine your hope, and we can expect even
more misleading attack ads in the weeks ahead. His friends in Big Oil
and other special interests are more than happy to keep fueling his
efforts with huge checks. They want to keep Washington just the way it
is.

Today, you can show John McCain that his attacks won't slow us
down. In fact, his attacks will make us even more determined to build
and strengthen this movement.

Help reach this historic milestone of 2 million donors by matching another
supporter's donation of $5 or more today.

Thank you for building this movement for change,

David

Obama for America

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
being an asshole.
Don't get me wrong, I like Obama, but all this
political garbage is an illusion.
Let's talk about the wars.
Let's talk about Georgia, Russia, and Iran.

All these people care about is the money
they can get in their pockets.
Don't donate to these leeches.
The Money you give will not benefit anyone.

But to the e-mail itself;
♦ "Mccain wants you to think that
you are being swept up into change"
First of all, this statement is completely
misleading you into thinking some
Mccain doesn't want change like Obama supposedly does.
Secondly, if Obama does want real change
he should move into the politics of tomorrow,
rather than cry about smears.

♦ "They want you to believe that everything is just fine --
that we need to stay the course and
elect someone who's voted with

George Bush
95% of the time."
Wow, what a surprise.
That the Republican Nominee would vote on the policies
of the republican president.

♦"McCain and the
RNC are using huge
checks from Washington lobbyists and
special interest PACs to run negative ads
attacking
Barack Obama and the millions of
volunteers and donors who have joined this campaign for change."
So there you go. Mccain is getting alot of money, so we should too.
They are playing the same game, just with defferent terminology.
If people give Mccain money, they don't want change.
Rather, give Obama money, and you want change you can believe in.
Either way, your giving money to people who don't care where the money comes from as long as they get it.
If Obama had people throughing money at him,
i doubt he would throw it back.

² But to conclude, I did not make this blog in favor of Mccain.
I think that his politics are dirty.
But don't send me e-mails acting like you aren't doing the same thing.

Obama=Mccain is the final equation.
Whether it be political campaigns, or policy.
